The faculty at INDEA will provide a variety of programs after the business opens, including a Master’s in Automobile Design & Management, refreshers for working designers, and CXO inductions. In addition, seminars, master courses, and workshops are scheduled as part of the yearly schedule. Another option would be to enroll in a course called “Automobile Restoration.”

Furthermore, following a screening process, 20–25 students from all graduate schools will be admitted annually to the 1-year post-graduate Masters in Automobile Design & Management program. At the moment, the curriculum’s precise details are still being finalized. Numerous well-known business executives from the auto industry and other sectors will be on INDEA’s mentor board.

These will include former automotive writer and author Gautam Sen, former Supreme Court of India judge Justice Indira Banerjee, and former Maruti Suzuki India Limited director of engineering I.V. Rao, distinguished fellow at TERI. Avik Chattopadhyay went on to say that INDEA would be a cooperative endeavor between several eminent figures from the automotive sector and would not be for profit.

XLRI: Xavier School of Management

The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) operates the private business school Xavier School of Management (XLRI, formerly known as Xavier Labour Relations Institute) in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.

The first business school in India, XLRI, was established in 1949 and has now announced the formation of a new relationship with INDEA, a finishing school for car design. An exciting new chapter in Indian car design will begin with the opening of this new finishing school. This ground-breaking, innovative project was coordinated with Avik Chattopadhyay, an expert in the automotive sector and an XLRI alumni.

The director of XLRI’s Delhi-NCR campus, Dr. Fr. K. S. Casimir, said that the institute recognizes the value of fully promoting the common good in light of India’s ambition to rank among the world’s top five design hubs. The initiative is a wonderful fit for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s overall plan, which calls for India to become a center for automotive design worldwide.

Dr. Casimir made the remark that, despite the possibility that Indian design institutions enroll students who are qualified to become notable designers, there appears to be a severe shortage of these people. He draws attention to a number of problems, including the lack of an industry interface, the faculty’s insufficiency, the incapacity to purchase the newest technology and software, and the inimitable nature of current instruction. Applying experience and knowledge in industry relations and curriculum development to ensure that theoretical information may be converted into useful and applied knowledge will be one of XLRI’s main objectives.
