The G7 consists of the following countries: the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan. African leaders, including Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria, William Ruto of Kenya, and Kais Saied of Tunisia, have been invited by Italy, the summit’s host nation, to discuss Meloni’s ideas for migration and development in the continent. Additional attendees comprise of President Zelenskyy of Ukraine, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil, the Prime Minister of India, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.

Italian Prime Minister captioned a little selfie video showcasing her friendship with our Prime Minister Narendra, “Hello friends, from #Melodi.” At the conclusion of Prime Minister full-day visit to Apulia, southern Italy, on Friday, the two leaders had a meeting. He thanked the Italian Prime Minister for inviting him. This was his first trip abroad as prime minister following his unprecedented election to a third term in office. Italian PM posted the five-second clip on her X account on Saturday.

The footage showed the 47-year-old Italian leader, who is the nation’s first female prime minister, saying, “Hello from the Melodi team,” as 73-year-old Modi could be heard grinning behind her.

The video was reshared by Prime Minister and wrote, “Long live India-Italy friendship!”.

A selfie that the two leaders took during the G7 Summit went viral earlier on Saturday. The two presidents took a photo in December of last year while attending the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai, where the Italian PM has captioned the photo she shared, writing, “Good friends at COP28, #Melodi.”

The two presidents discussed the state of their bilateral strategic alliance during their bilateral meeting here on Friday. They also decided to step up their collaboration in international forums and multilateral projects, such as the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

“We talked on how to strengthen ties between Italy and India in a number of areas, including energy, telecom, defense, and trade. Following the meeting, he declared, “Our countries will collaborate in cutting-edge fields like biofuels, food processing, and essential minerals.”
