The Chinese automaker BYD unveiled the all-electric BYD Seal sedan in India earlier this week. With a starting price of Rs. 41 lakh (ex-showroom), the futuristic-looking mid-size car is offered in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. Since its premiere, the vehicle has begun to arrive at showrooms around the nation.
The Seal stands out from other cars on the outside in the Indian market. It has a tall bonnet, arrow-shaped LED DRLs with a wave pattern, arrow-shaped inserts on the front fenders, a sloping roofline with a glass roof, aerodynamic alloy wheels up to 19 inches in diameter, and linked LED tail lamps.
A rotatable 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, powered driver and passenger seats, a digital instrument cluster, a HUD display, twin wireless chargers, a 12-speaker setup, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS suite are just a few of the features that the BYD Seal is equipped with.
Two different battery pack options are included with the BYD Seal: a 61.44kWh and an 82.56kWh one. The sedan’s stated driving range on a single charge is 510 km, 580 km, or 650 km, depending on the variant that is selected.
